New York - Woodstock Ban the Box Law

If you are seeking employment with a government agency in the City of Woodstock, you are covered by their Ban the Box law (also known as Resolution No. 199-2015). This law does not apply to private employers.

Woodstock has barred all public employers from asking candidates if they have ever been convicted of a crime, except where required by law. After you have interviewed for a position and have received a conditional job offer, an employer can conduct a background check.
