Minnesota - St. Paul Ban the Box Law

The City of St. Paul has a Ban the Box law. The City will not ask about your criminal history on City job applications. The City does background checks for some, but not all city jobs. The City requires the employer to determine which specific positions of employment are warranted of a background check. The city applies the EEOC criteria to conduct individual assessments of job applicants to consider if the conviction has a direct relationship to the job.
